Yearly Education Plans (for Students)

Welcome to the student user guide for yearly education plans. Within this guide we are hoping to walk you through the process of filling out your yearly education plan step by step and offer any helpful tips and tricks we have along the way.

Once you are logged into your student portal, you will select your Education Plans side tab. On this page, you will see a record of all education plans you have submitted to your post secondary funding office with the year submitted and the status of the plan listed alongside.

** Helpful Hint: If the year you are looking to complete the education plan for is not displayed, please contact your post secondary funding office and their administrator will be able to assist you from their end. **

While your education plan is in draft status, if you have filled out an education plan previously, you have the option to copy your previous plan and make any tweaks necessary or if you prefer, you can start fresh and fill it out completely again.

If you have not completed your plan, you are able to save your draft and continue at a later date. Your post secondary funding organization is able to view this while it is in draft status through their portal. When you are happy with the information provided in your education plan, you can click the green Submit Plan button and your post secondary funding office will receive a notification that the plan has been received. When the plan has been submitted, you are unable to make any further amendments to your plan.

You are now able to track the status of your education plan from this page. When your post secondary funding organization has reviewed your education plan, they can either accept or decline it. When it is accepted, it will display as it does in our sample above.

If your education plan has been declined, your post secondary funding organization can advise of the reason for the decline and it will be displayed in a red box at the top of the plan.

If your education plan has been declined, you are then able to go back in and make any necessary changes to your plan and re-submit it for your post secondary funding office to review. When your plan has met their requirements, it should show as accepted even if it has been previously declined.
